I am originally from Mexico but was raised in United States since I was 5 yrs old. In 2008, I entered the world of teaching. I have been very lucky to experience teaching in all age groups and ranges but feel that I enjoy the experiences that come with the younger age groups.

I taught for a couple years in a Nursery classroom here in U.A.E. with introduction of the Foundation Stage. Our classroom was involved in a small pilot scheme that gave feedback and offered ideas for change within the new curriculum. This was a great experience for me both personally and professionally.

In 2010, I decided to move to the United States primarily working as a Property Manager. After two years I realized that I missed teaching and decided to make the move back into what I love. A very dear friend of mine recommended the International Curriculum School in Sharjah known for its great staff and dedication to children. I am very lucky to be a part of something so forward thinking and dynamic in its approach to teaching and learning. I completed Level 1 in Arabian Child and earned various certificates from EYES, IPC, and am currently studying for my Level 3 Cache qualification.

I enjoy soccer, arts & crafts, dancing and outdoor activities. I like to explore the nearby areas for outdoor sites in the winter and the beaches in the summer. All of my family live back in United States except for one sister. I enjoy going back to see them or having them come visit me.

“Ms.Nina is fun and nice and beautiful!”

Bumble Bee Nursery has a dynamic, forward-thinking approach to teaching and learning that encompasses and enriches the international background off all the students. The nursery embraces its many cultures and celebrates them as often as possible. It is a pleasure to work with such dedicated and motivated staff on a daily basis.
